How Fordeal works

Where the prices come from

From the shops themselves: their public product pages and the XML feeds they publish for comparison sites and affiliate networks. We compare shops in Csehország és Szlovákia; more countries follow in waves.

We read only public data, identify ourselves as FordealBot, obey every shop's robots.txt and never fetch a page twice in a day. A shop that refuses bots is read from its official feed or not at all.

• Every price carries the time we saw it; a price older than 36 hours is marked as stale.
• A product is matched by its EAN first; a name match must carry every distinguishing word, otherwise the offer is not shown.

How the total is computed

Goods price plus shipping to your country, converted with the Czech National Bank rate of the day, which is shown next to the price. Inside the EU a consumer pays the price the shop shows; no VAT is added or removed.

When a shop does not say what it charges to ship to your country, the total is a lower bound and that offer can never be the recommendation.

How we rank

By total price and shop trust. Nothing else. There is no paid placement and no partner bonus, and there never will be.

• A shop on the ČOI (Czechia) or SOI (Slovakia) list of risky e-shops is never shown.
• A shop without a customer rating is shown with a warning and never recommended first, even when it is the cheapest.
• A cross-border offer is recommended only together with the block that says what buying abroad means.

Where the ratings come from

Shop ratings are read from public sources per country: Heureka and Zboží.cz in Czechia, Heureka in Slovakia, later Ceneo, Trusted Shops and Trustpilot. A shop without a rating stays without one; we never make one up.

How Fordeal earns

When you buy through our link, the shop pays us a commission, typically 2 to 8 percent. It does not raise your price and it does not affect the order. The commission is disclosed on every result.

There are no banners, no third-party ads, no registration, no newsletter. A paid price watch may come later; the comparison stays free.

Your data

The site keeps no account and sets no tracking cookie. Analytics run without cookies. What we store: the questions asked (to show the last verdicts, without any personal data) and clicks on offers (to count savings).
