How to list your shop

Listing is free. You need the shop's domain, a contact e-mail and a product feed: a file or an address with your products, prices and links.

Check your feed on the feed check page first: it shows at once what we can read and what to fix. Then register the shop with the feed's address or the file, and confirm the e-mail or prove the domain.

Step by step

  1. Prepare the details

    You need the shop's name, its domain, the contact e-mail and the product feed. A feed is a file or an address listing your products with their prices and the links to their pages. If you do not know where your feed is, ask your shop platform's support: Shoptet, Upgates and WooCommerce export one.

    The address must open without signing in. If it carries an access token, never share it publicly; give it only in the registration form, where it is never shown back.

  2. Check the feed before you register

    The feed check reads your feed once, by its address or as an uploaded file, and nothing is stored. It tells you whether the feed is usable (OK, OK with warnings, not usable), how many items it holds, what each problem is and how many items it affects, and it shows the first offers the way the comparison would show them.

    A file may be up to 8 MB, plain XML or CSV, or packed with gzip (.gz). ZIP archives are not read: unpack them first.

  3. Register the shop

    Fill in the form on the Shops page: name, domain, delivery country, contact e-mail, the feed's address or the file, and how commission is paid. The answer comes at once with the feed's verdict and its three biggest problems.

    A feed address is read again on every collection, so your prices stay current. A file is checked once and only its fingerprint is kept; to show your prices regularly we still need an address, which you can send later.

  4. Confirm the e-mail or prove the domain

    We send a confirmation link to the contact e-mail. You can also prove that you run the domain, which is faster:

    • a meta tag in the head of the home page: meta name="fordeal-verification" content="TOKEN"
    • or a text file at /fordeal-verification.txt on your domain holding only the token

    The token is in the answer to the registration. We read the page once with our identified bot, FordealBot.

  5. Check and decision

    A person looks at every registration, usually within two working days, and you get the decision by e-mail. A shop on the Czech or Slovak consumer authority's list of risky e-shops cannot be listed.

    After approval your offers are matched with the products in the catalogue. An offer appears when we can tell which product it sells and its data pass the checks; we cannot promise that every item appears at once.

We read Heureka XML, Zboží.cz XML, Google Merchant XML (RSS or Atom), CSV or TSV with a header row, and the Ceneo, Idealo and Árukereső formats. Column names are recognised regardless of case.

An item without a name, a link or a positive price is skipped. Send the price a customer actually pays, VAT included; we never add VAT. In Google Merchant add the currency to the price (249.00 CZK); in CSV fill a currency column; a Heureka feed is read in the currency of the shop's country.

The quickest check: open the feed's address in a private browser window. You should see XML or a table of products, not a sign-in form or an error page.

After listing and rules

After listing

After approval the feed is read on every collection run and the offers are matched to products in the catalogue. A click overview for shops is in preparation; until then we send the numbers on request to partners@fordeal.ai.

Keep the feed at the same address. When you change it, its fields or its access rules, register again with the new address.

Rules

Listing is free. Paid placement does not exist: the order depends on the product price and the shop's trust only, never on a commission. We may hide an offer with a missing name, link or price, an obviously wrong currency or price, or a link to another shop.
