Coming soon

Price of 1 kWh of electricity and gas

One kWh of electricity and gas with VAT, by distribution area.

Why „coming soon“?

The energy section is still being prepared. Every amount is an estimate from the suppliers' published price lists and the regulated prices; an independent expert has not checked the calculation yet. We sign no contracts and take no commission until the Energy Regulatory Office answers our question about the rules for comparison services.

How we count it

The regulated part per kWh is the distribution price of the rate's high tariff (gas: of the consumption band), system services, renewables support and the tax, with VAT. It is the same with every supplier in the area.

The supplier part is the price per MWh from each official price list (fixed and variable prices; spot and formula prices are never counted). One more kWh = regulated part + the supplier's price. That is what an appliance costs to run.

The average with fees divides the whole yearly total of the stated consumption, including the breaker charge and the supplier's monthly fee, by its kWh. A smaller consumption has a higher average.

Regulated prices: the regulator's price decision valid from 1 Jan 2026. Supplier price lists read 8 Oct 2026 to 15 Oct 2026. eru.gov.cz
